As always- Everything I post is IMHO.
Everything in those pics is cool, I just realized the front hub is 3 bolt.
What was your favorite size rear tires to run with that front tire?

18x8.50-8 Carlisle RA was the only tire i ever used on the Rotax, we did not switch to Hoosier tires till we had started running the 85 250Rs and we never used the 16 inch size RAs on anything but my 200x and my Selvy 200 Honda
Thank you, John
The reason I asked is because I live near Sun City, AZ (One of the biggest retirement communities in the world for those that don't know)
So, I stop buy a huge golf cart shop and checked out what tires they can order or have there and could not believe it, many sizes too including the size you used.
Many old school flat track type tires too.

yeah we started on lawn mower tires with Goodyear tires in 1980 and its back to them again since everyone just makes knobbies for quadracers if they still make any ATV tires at all
what i find utterly bizarre is that Hoosier still makes the super wide 20x12-10 inch Tri Trac tire that no one ever liked, never won any races that mattered and other than on the back of a QuadZilla was simply a bad tire but they discontinued the normal Tri Trac rear that everyone loved and was the best overall rear tire in ATV history...whoever is running that company has some odd ideas
I totally agree, but I always thought that those are not really used on trikes or quads, but some type of mini/micro sprint car.
It still amazes me of the stuff you could buy off a wall at a good shop, but now you can't buy it on the internet in the whole world, I am not a huge fan of NOS tires due to price and age. (I have seen some nice stuff for huge coin)

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

I have an extra ignition cover if you need one!

John you have to think quads. Now days they try and get those things to stick like Formula 1 cars. From the 450r guys I've talked to the smaller 18x9-10 Tri Trac rears were too loose and since quads dominate the tire market now days, the perfect trike tire bit the dust. Look at some of those obnoxious cross block rears the quad guys are using nowadays. They look like a tubbed 69 Camaro from behind.

Sent the shock parts off to onfomula1 yesterday and the radiators are on their way to Myler's for a full refresh.
@OC250R - Does your extra ignition cover say Rotax on it? I just want that one because the emblem on mine is MIA.
@bkm - yeah i forget that the world now is all about 50+hp fourstrokes and that even on our 250cc Quads back in my day the narrow Tri Trac was at about its limit on traction.
I added that bit about "except on a Quadzilla" because guys like Brian Fry, Don Turk and Jeff Watts could haul butt on their 500cc Suzuki Quads using those super wide Tri Tracs that are still in production so i do know they had a place...just not on a bike like my Rotax with a pipey, high strung 250 that needs to keep the rears spinning and i never felt they rotated corners well in tight turns either (i had a pair for my Quadzilla when we raced Speedway in 88 when Suzuki was offering some really sweet bonus money).
John, If that is all you need I have the decals...send me your addy.
These Ohlins shocks on the Franks were the most expensive to restore. I had 3 of them done. As far as Hoosier tires go this wide set is one of my favorites. They are too big for most of the three wheelers so they are an option for the Super 4. I love the Hoosier " H " right in the treads
