Ride Across the Mackinac Bridge - Maybe not...

... until I read a little further on their webpage: ABSOLUTELY NO ARGOS, 3-WHEELERS, GOLF CARTS, ETC.

I've e-mailed the address listed on the page to see if they made a mistake, or if they mean something else by the term "3-Wheeler". For what it's worth, none of the local ordinances listed on the page say anything about 3-wheelers not being allowed in their city.

We'll see what type of response I get.

If you feel like it, maybe send them an e-mail... even if you aren't truly planning on attending, just to get the point across that there are a lot of us that still ride 3-wheelers.

I received an e-mail reply from the organizer of the event:

"The organization that is working with us on this event has excluded 3-wheelers of all kinds."

I sent them an email also. Called the number and she didn't know why, I gave her my name and number and she was going to have somebody call me.

Additional followup e-mail I received:

I’ve talked to the ATV guy we are working with. He explained that 3-wheelers are not allowed on the Mackinac Bridge due to a safety issue. Should you want to talk to the person in charge of the Mackinac Bridge, his name is XXXXXX, and his phone number is XXXXXXXX.

Seems silly to me. I deleted the name and phone number so as not to incite too much harassment. However, if you truly would like to attend the event and want to contact this guy directly, PM me and I'll forward his contact information.

Harassment is the ticket. What do you/we have to lose? Are they gonna double ban us? by the way, i would not have ability to attend. Sometimes i enjoy starting trouble though, if the cause is just.
