The green wires on the light need to stay connected together, they share a common ground with the kill switch.

Yeah haha when I put my number plate on I chopped the lights and made a quick connect for the headlight so I could swap between lights and number plate, ended up having no kill switch because of that and used a jumper wire to keep them connected
