Unhappy 1985 Honda 125m Engine RPM idle problem

I recently had a problem and I fixed it now I got it to start but when it starts it's at normal rpm then it slowly creeps up to scarry rpm speed like giving it all the throttle and when I do hit the throttle It sounds like it wants to kill me sounds like the piston is going to explode and no I only gave it a little gas.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

Does it have the original steel tank? You may have a gas cap vent that isn't functioning properly. First turn it to the on position. And then remove the cap. If it sucks air then that is your problem.

You might have a vacuum leak check your intake manifold for cracks or leaks. After doing that make sure all the screws on your carb are set correctly according to your service manual.

I already cleaned it sparkling clean before this and put new jets and everything, nothing is leaking then I put it back together and started it and start the thing at the top of this forum then I fixed that then I am down to this. Could it be the fuel filter? That for me is the last thing on my list I don't understand why it would take 20 min for it to start after it starts once.

Ok sorry, I start it up and I get about 2 minutes then it just stalls for no reason, it stopped making the banging noise. Then I can't get it started until I wait for 20-30 min then I can start it then it stalls.

They where talking about the carburetor I cleaned it, and I set the fuel to air screws to factory specs from the manual.

Ok good, I noticed you said you had a fuel filter? I would remove the fuel filter completely(because your petcock has a filter built it) and see what happens. Sometimes fuel filters don't allow the proper fuel flow that is required by small engines.
