    GY6 150cc motor Performance Mods????????

Here is the deal. I now own a Chinese Terminator GK-10 2 seater cart. It has a 150cc GY6 Motor. The thing is a DOG!!!! No lower end power whatsoever.

Now the question is; Has anyone done performance mods with this engine, what did you do, and where the performance gains worth it??

Look through some of the scooter forums as the gy6 is common for lots of them i'm sure you can find some good info. Have worked on a couple gy6 but just to get running so dont know performance. Good luck and have fun

This website may be of interest to you. http://scootdawg.proboards.com/ The common consensus seems to be "the faster they go, the faster they blow"; higher performance often comes at the cost of decreased reliability.

I did some basic mods to my wife's Kazuma, nothing major. The NCY clutch kit with 13g weights was the most worthwhile mod, but tossing the CV carb for an OKO 28 D-slide was my favorite mod. Both mods were worth the money, BUT there was still crappy low end power. Don't forget, these motors started life as scooter powerplants. I never tried a stroker crank, but that would be the best bet for getting more torque IMHO.

I would be really interested in the crank upgrade. Has anyone done that mod yet?
