I have a Moto Ski of early 70's model. I looked up the info on it once, but I can only remember that the engine was rated at 26hp. It was supposed to run when I got it. Kind of hard to start without an ignition key or a fuel tank. I swapped the engine in a guy's 1986 Jeep pickup for it. When I was trying to figure out how to start it, I found out that one cylinder had stripped spark plug threads. I stopped on the engine swap, drug it back to his house, and called it good. The truck only needed fluids and battery installed. I definately got the short end of that stick, but am planning to keep the sled. They are fun to ride.

That blows the barter wasn't a little better for your labor. If it has a JLO engine I have a cylinder head for a 399 and pretty sure one for a 440 too just let me know

I currently have a 98' ZRT 800 sleeper ( was worked over to a 1050) You would only know by looking close enough to see the shims. Also stretched it from 126" to a 136" ripsaw hacksaw 1.25 track. Can't wait to get some powder on the ground to see what she does. It's been almost 2 years since I started the rebuild.
    Bikes I currently own.....
    84' KXT 250
    01' Honda CR500
    98' Arctic cat ZRT800
    82' Honda atc70

I believe that the 500SST was equipped with a JLO Rockwell 399.
