Not bad during the day but that's getting pretty chilly at night. I need to look at the links you posted above. Are those pretty much the only 3 sites close to the sand? I'm pretty sure we'll be making the trip out there from somewhere around Sept 5/6 - Sept 12/13 since her interview is in the middle of that week and toys will definitely be coming! Not so sure the Tecate will make it. I've got some repairs I need to make before I ride her again (lost the clutch, lost both brakes, and need to check the power valve actuator). I'm going to try and make some time to get those things fixed but if worst comes to worst I'll have some back-ups I'll be able to bring!

The 2 strokers run real good when its 50 degrees out there. We been having 90+ degree weather right now and call me a puss but thats too hot to be on the dunes for me. Need to get up early and ride till noon then its good. I will be looking forward to you to get here so we can go riding!!

Yea once it gets into the 90's it's too hot to gear up. I'll definitely keep you posted as it nears, but make some room for a ride or two at least! As of right now, the plan is to leave Monday night Sept 7, find somewhere to stop in between and arrive hopefully not too late Tuesday night. We'd be staying till either Sat the 12th or Sun the 13th...

A few weeks ago I picked up a buddy's quad (440ex with this and thats) after a dyno tune at Hansen Performance. Since the shop is 1 mile from the lakes, I figured I would test it out. It was in the 70's when I went.

Looks like I'll be making my reservations this weekend for the Idaho Dunes RV Park for Sept. 8th - 12th. Probably won't be actually riding until the 11th, 12th & 13th. Can't wait!

Here's a pic of the dunes. Its about 9-10 miles driving on the road or riding the dunes to get to the west side from Idaho Dunes RV. Probably a 30 minute drive or ride to get there. They are on BLM ground and riders under 18 are supposed to have a helmet on. I like the west end better as they dont get as much traffic and usually are smoother.

Yup coming right up! I'm kinda bummed out about the Tecate, was looking forward to seeing one in real life but I understand the finding time thing. I want to come over fri afternoon after work and spend the night but will have to see how that works out.

Yea ill be bummed if it doesnt come with me. Its hard trying to watch my two little ones and work in the garage at the same time! haha Im going to try like hell and find some time while theyre asleep to see if the clutch cant be fixed easily. The actuator arm that goes into the casing just twirls around freely
I also have to try and study up for a job interview ive got on the 1st as well...
