    1987 250es Big Red Value?

First Post! First of all I want to say thank you to this entire forum, I have learned so much on here. From the time I purchased this bike til now I have been on here so many times researching what not. I finally am close to finishing my 87' big red. Most everything is OEM parts, except for the seat cover. The engine purrs like a cat and everything seems really good and tight. I am not interested in selling it but I would like to know what she is worth, and I thought who better to ask than you all? Thanks for you time! -Higdonaw

Looks nice! Hard saying these days, it just depends on who wants it as to how much they will pay. Thinking $1500-2000 if it's mint. However, I just sold 2 as a pair and one ran, the other had spark and fuel but didn't light off. I took $650 for the both of them.

As dustrunner says it depends on where you live. Trikes seem to sell for more up north than they do down south. There seem to be more of them down here, I live in Texas, than up north. I think the salt gets to them up there and being run in the snow seemed to play a factor in that. I have seen guys asking as much as $3000 for a trike in your condition. Down here I can get one like that for probably half that, maybe less.

Here in Bowling Green area that's DEFINITELY $2500 MINIMUM after haggle....I would price it at $3000 and not a dime less as nice as it is

    examples:

    http://bgky.craigslist.org/snw/4833666267.html

I`ve been looking for one locally to trade for my 200X but probably be better off to sell the X and buy a BR with the cash. Problem is there are no less than 5 or 6 X`s on CL in my area at any given time so the market is diluted for that model.....Though my X is real nice, I still can`t get what a BR like that is worth.

where you at in KY?......and Welcome to 3WW.

Thanks, I am in the Owensboro area. These BR's are hot items around here. People want an arm and a leg for junk. I am in my mid 30's and it sure brings back memories of my old BR.
