    Short answer - Skat Trak Haulers. 8 paddle, 20x10x8 or 9 will be a little shorter than stock.

    Long answer:

    I just run 20x10x9 Ohtsu knobbies (stock 250R tire) on my 350X in the OK dunes with no issues. I have paddles for it I have not used in 4 trips. The Oaties are great on the X. I wish I could still get them from Honda but they're NLA.

    The R likes paddles better than the stock knobbies (Dunlop but are exactly like the Ohtsu on the 350X).

    I prefer straight paddles. Maybe I just don't like change...

    Since I don't get to the dunes more than 2-3 times a year, I use a set of cheap AMS Sand Snakes on my 250R. 20x10x9, 8 paddles, molded. They work well for me.
    I have the same tires in a 20x10x8 for the 350X (because I had some 8" rims to use). These tires are still virgins.
    I like these tires because they're cheap - $100 for a pair - but they're not being made anymore.

    I have a set of used 22x11x10 8 paddle Haulers for the Tecate. They work fine but the paddles are obviously worn compared to a new set - probably a lot of pavement time.

    My decision was based on my cheapness.

    If you have $$ to burn, buy new Haulers.
    Or save a little $ and buy a used set of Haulers.
    Or a new set of Sand Stars.

    If I lived close to the dunes and made more trips, I'd buy 20x11x9 8 paddle Haulers for the R and a new set of 22x11x10 8 paddle Haulers for the Tecate. I like stock sizes but that's just me.
    I'd still run the knobbies on the X. They work that well.

    ok so I went with:
    350x = skat trak Hauler 20x10x8 8 paddle with douglas .190 8x8 3.0+5.0
    250sx = skat trak Edge 21x12x8 8 paddle with douglas .160 8x8 3.0+5.0

    choose straight paddle for 350x for better hook up and hills I hope I can turn ok and power through corners still with the 20 inch tires, for the 250sx with less power went with the curved paddle better low power turning and 21 inch closer to stock this will be for the girl friend

    You will find out that 6th gear is usless with those tires. You will have too much drag. Those tires will slow you down. Pro wedges work well with the 350x.They just dont rail the corners to great but they dont slow you down much. I tried haulers back in the 80's with my x and they actually sucked pretty hard. But you must try them for yourself to actually see 1st hand what Im talking about. Bring those back up knobbys just in case.

    I would add that if you want to get out of the steepest tree shots, you're going to need the Haulers, and maybe a little more motor than the x has so be carefull, but for everything else in the Oregon dunes curved paddles will be the most fun, let you slide much better, I like the sand stars, but they don't hook up on tree shots, which I like so I run Haulers on my r
