    1979 Chrysler Sno Runner

I just missed out on an original running son runner. The guy got $1200 for it! I would of paid that too. Ever seen one in person? I watched some youtube videos, looks slow but neat. Oh well the quest for a vintage snow machine continues.

I had a mint one that a guy got when he bought his new car. The dealership put it in the trunk for him. He brought his new car home backed it in the garage and took out the Sno runner. It sat in one spot till I got it pretty much. I got it running and rode it around some. Had to stay on a hard packed or plowed trail. Felt just like a small motorcycle. I sold that one for $800 at a vintage snowmobile show. I was happy to get that for it, seems around WI, MI, and MN they go about $500.
Rebuilding and riding trikes everyday and lovin every minute.

I had a nice one when I was a kid. wasn't near mint but it ran great and allowed me to break my first bone (collar bone) I hit a big jump (snowbank) and dug the ski into the snow and it pitched me forward. I would love to get another one.

Not in the same league as a sno runner. You cant beat old school cool. But the real question is can you fix it when it breaks, lol?

Turns out I picked up a snorunner to go with my hawk. Fixing the hawk is not an issue when you have a machine shop haha.

It is a one skied snowmobile(not snowbike) They started in 2002 and only made it to 2008. A bit ahead of their time and in stock form kinda of piles of crap. But If you work all the kinks out they can be a total blast. Came with either a 503 twin fan cooled, 600 twin liquid or 800 twin liquid. Mine had a 700 Polaris swapped into it. This is what they look like with the belly pans on Click image for larger version.

SnoRunners are awesome! I have a rare high performance model! Came with thinner head gasket, high flow exhaust, and a frame brace!

Couple vids of mine. It goes as fast as I would want to go on it! LOL
