I can tell you looking at the music on my Zune you couldn't tell which Gen I belong to. Opera, Rap, County, Metal, Pop, JPOP, KPOP music from all over the world as well.
Then again I use a Zune so that probably tells it all. :-)

I listen to a many many genres of music from many generations. My record collection is mainly 60/70's. It's my favorite music to listen to. I have a modern turntable for quality but it's powered by a giant 80's 200w 8ohm sound system with the typical dual 4 foot speaker boxes. And then I have my iPod for all my current music.

I’m glad that my daughter likes music from the 70’s and 80’s and doesn’t like rap. I kept my mouth shut for the year that she thought Michael Jackson was the greatest and the 2 years prior to that when Hanna Montana ruled. Now it’s Lady Gaga and Kesha which I can also tolerate, but I did find it funny as heck when we were listening to Poker Face one day in the truck and she heard the lyrics “♪bluffin with my muffin♪” and my 10 year old kid jumps up and says “Dad! Lady Gaga likes muffins too!”

While I still keep my Judas Priest CD’s in the player most of the time I have trouble getting into music that as ebaccm26 so appropriately put it “is screaming at me”.

You young bucks can and should rock on to whatever beat you want, just do us old dudes the favor of not serenading us with it while we pump our gas or wash our cars.

You'd never know I was born in the 90s if you looked on my IPod. Almmost everything I have is from the 70s, and 80s with some 90s and newer stuff. Absolutely love Judas Priest and everything all theway to Avenged Sevenfold to Alice in Chains and Kreator to Air Raid and Scorpions.

Young bucks...LOL. Man I'll be 49 this year. Body might be feeling it, but the brain isn't.

I'd put up what I just listened to (Gangnum Style), but I feel I'd get banded.

Well, being a long time Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, etc fan, I have been diggin A7X ALOT!

Couple of my favorites from them:

    http://youtu.be/DelhLppPSxY
    http://youtu.be/94bGzWyHbu0
    http://youtu.be/A7ry4cx6HfY
    http://youtu.be/mzX0rhF8buo
    http://youtu.be/BNvUCs_sccQ

I love how they can so seamlessly transition from hard, heavy metal to an almost country sound. (Dear God)

Love some old A.I.C. too... from back in my high school days...One of my all time favorites..
