anyone own a king quad 300?

its bin a while since ive bin on the forums do to the mad amount of hours i have bin working. well anyway, i bought one off of my brother then i found one in ohio for 500.00 so i picked that one up too. well i fell in love with em. they arnt very fast to say the least but they sure do push snow and pull logs with very little effort. the best part of these things are the 3 ranges (hi, lo, super lo, and diff lock. not to mention that they are shaft driven rather than cvt/belt. the 2 major things i dont like about them is the fact the ground clearance isnt the best and diff. lock can only be used in super lo.

i have a 93 kq 300 and majority of its weak points have bin addressed. i put a 2 inch lift in it (its about as much as the cv shafts will allow), i did a diff. lock mod that allows diff. lock in all 3 ranges, i upgraded the front drum brakes to disk brakes, 10.25:1 piston and put sure grip mud bitches on it, and a 3500 pound badlands winch with a 50 ft warn 5000 pound winch rope. it still isnt quick but i dont need it to be.

anyone here have a king quad 300 ? if so have done any mods or upgrades ? how do you like them ? ohhh and pics are always welcome too !!!11.jpg

how would you build one to 331 ? just bore the crap out of it ? i looked for stroker kits and big bore kits and came up empty. i just had it bored 1mm over because it had to be but i would love to give it a bit more pep.

nevermind, i didnt look hard enough. there are big bore kits on the link you posted.

I have two 93 king quad 300's all stock, except for upgraded aggressive tires. Like you said they aren't the fastest but they do haul pretty good. Make for good farm quads.

they are work horses to say the least. i try to rescue everyone i see from the scrap yard. i buy em cheap fix em and sell em for what i have into em. i gave one to my brother for Christmas this year. the older king quad 300 is like having a big red 250.. or for you speed guys its like having a complete tiger or 250r/500r and so on.. its an amazing quad for its time.. honestly i like em more than most of the newer utility quads

I have always been fascinated by these quads due to the options they had but the closest I have ever come to one is an Arctic Cat 300 cause it shared the same engine. I don't really know anyone that would need the triple low gears but it should allow them to pull dang near anything traction will allow. If I ever see one pop up for sale I am gonna try to pick it up, I can always use a workhorse around the house.

they are out there, they arnt very cheap when they are in good shape. thats why i look for the "fixer uppers", yea i put a decent chunk of change into fixing them but they are worth every penny.

the artic cat 300 is a decent quad too. its not too far off from the king quad. they are more alike than most people know.

    Hi guys!

Super stoked - just picked my first ever Suzuki quad - a 1994 King Quad 300! I've owned a DR350 bike in the past and loved that machine, so I'm excited to once again be a member of team Suzuki I've always wanted either a LT-4WD or an LT-F4WDX and recently was able to pick one up in great shape.

I just have one question though, is the rear camber supposed to this aggressive? Please take a look at the picture below and let me know if I should be concerned... I've never seen camber this pronounced before, but maybe it's supposed to be like that?

Thanks for any help or tips you can provide!
