Merry Christmas 3WW. The "She Devil" Mod 70 build thread

In the spirit of Christmas I've decided to post a bunch of pics of the mod 70 i built for my girl today. I have worked hard to keep this under my hat and am very proud of my 3 kids for not only keeping it quiet but helping along the way.

I bought this 70 from BigRed44 a few months ago. i cant even remember how long but it was a while for sure. this thing was nothing but parts when i got and i'll try to find a pic of it before i started.

here's where its at right now and hopefully before the end of the day i have it wired and running. i'm close so it should be no real issue to have her running before dark.

everything white on this is powdered. everything black except for the engine is powered. the axle and front hubspacers are powdered but they just didnt turn out the way i wanted so i sanded them and painted over it.
i worked on buying the parts and putting it together for about 2 months. 1 piece at a time i bought parts and stashed them at work. everything as far as chassis wise is brand new. i tried to do this as right as i could and i think it turned out nicely. everything small on this machine i powdered myself. the frame, forks , and footpeg bar were done by a local shop because i have no way to bake those pieces.

Cool build. Like the electric start too. Will that be at Ashtabula? Can't help but notice the white powder coating. Isn't the Tiger 500 frame white???? LOL Now you have to get busy on that 185s we keep talking about. Don't forget to put that "She Devil" avatar picture on the tank, which would be really cool.

funny you mention that avatar pic. i actually found some on ebay, bought them, and am waiting for them to arrive. ordered them in gold, should go well with the rest of it.

thanks everyone. i managed to fire it up just before dark. it doesnt run to bad but needs a few bugs worked out. i jumped a tooth on the countershaft and dropped 1 on the axle. it is way to much and feels as though its geared to do about 70. it also needs some main jet as it just runs out of revs. if i pull the choke slightly is comes back to life. my daughter got a few pics of her riding it but only 1 good one with a helmet.
