    3 wheeler snowmobile

So i was watching a video last night.. seeing a dirtbike with a snowmobile conversion kit. Which made me think of how people make the missile kit.. or use dirt bike front forks. Well has anybody put one of these kits on a 3 wheeler before? http://www.timbersled.com/snowbikekits.htm

You could have a 3 wheeler missile snowmobile haha.

My lord thos things are expensive! It would be a cool idea! But at that price and to the fabing and the initial cost I would be better off just buying a mountain sled and calling it good.

Crazy prices..I've got a project in the planning stages for a snow-trike.

The thought is to install a pair of ATV tracks on the rear drive of one of my trikes. I've seen used sets go for $2000 on CL/Kijiji..that is enough tracks to do two trikes!!

May not complete for this year, but I'd like to have a working snow-trike for next year.

They may be expensive, but they will out climb any mountain sled any day. If not straight up the mountain, go at an angle and they never stop. YouTube the videos on them, they look awesome haha

I've got tracks on my grizzly 660, it is a blast in the snow, virtually unstoppable. I also had a Snow Hawk several years ago, kind of like the snow bike concept with the single ski, that was basically unstoppable also.

I know someone who is very close to doing a snow trike! I'm sure when they are ready, they will post a build thread.

I have the 350x front on this also..

I would like to if I had some extra money but I think I'm going to go to the sled junkyard this weekend and buy a ski that has a center pivot point, (not one of the older styles with the leaf spring,) and buy some square stock and pipe for the axle to slide in to. Drill the square stock to fit the pipe and weld it in and cut it to the inside diameter of the axle and then just some sort of clamping system up higher like scooters. I will have to figure something out for atatching the square stock to the ski since I probly won't have the spindle to weld to.

Yea that timbersled is pretty sweet! Lets just say I never looked at the price.. and was wondering why everyone said the price was so high.. lol now i see why. You can definitely find a mountain sled for those prices. You never know though, there may be someone crazy enough to do it (crazy to spend 5 grand haha)

I have two 250es. My uncle is purchasing one off of me. He is going to put a dual ski system on the front. He used to own a fabrication shop so I have no doubt this will be built well and look good. Eventually he is also going to put tracks in the back. With tracks and skis this thing will be unstoppable. I will deft make a thread when this process starts. I am taking one of them to him this week, he will probably start over the weekend.

AHH! Found another system, these are half the price and since they work on the TRX250r for 2500$ you could probably get it to work with the ATC250r and a handful of other ATC machines as well. interesting stuff
