Honda headlight shell alternatives for a 1986 200x?

I want a headlight shell for an 1986 200x. Has anyone installed a 1985 250R shell from Maier?

Any other honda models that will fit the triple trees?

Seems like a no brainer to try the 3rd gen R headlight, to me they look very similar & the width of the triples should be close enough to work for you.
Bite the bullet & get the Maier shell, show us how it looks once you have it on!

Of course, the '86 R unit looks to be the only one Maier still stocks, unless I'm mistaken......

The 1986 ATC250R headlight fits the 1986-87 ATC200X. The headlight lense assembley is OEM for both models with the same part numbers. They are all fine as long as your not anal about having the absolutely correct OEM light.

So many options out there that work just fine; And they all look like they should be there anyhow!!!!

As the years pass, I imagine people will take what they can get........

I ran a 1985 ATC250R headlight on my 1986 ATC200X. Worked and looked fine.
