Honda ATC90 aftermarket (homemade) exhaust/muffler...will this work?

I need a muffler for my recently purchased '77 ATC 90. They seem hard to come by. I found this muffler on eBay...do you think it would do the trick?

As it is now the trike has a straight pipe from the engine out the back. I was thinking of cutting the muffler off the pipe on this eBay one and welding it to the pipe that's already on the trike. What do you guys think? I don't know much about back pressure/jetting, etc. so not sure if I'll have to do a bunch of mucking around with things after. But the way I look at it putting this muffler on has gotta be better than the way it is now, running with just a straight pipe?...

Just my opinion... I think it would work fine. The 90 isn't a huge monster of a motor or nothing. A basic little muffler would be fine. I have seen more than a few of the 110's now with a small tractor muffler on them from the local Runnings Fleet & Farm store, they sound good and run fine with them. So anything is possible with some fabrication.

Just remember, thats off one of those really small chinese quads. But hey, its cheap enough that if it doesnt work your not at a total loss.
Regardless its going to be better than what you got now. Just make sure it stays packed and your fine.

I finally got my brother-in-law around to weld this aftermarket muffler on my ATC 90. We cut a chunk of the header pipe off the muffler as the bend was going the wrong way, and instead kept the stock header pipe that was already attached to the cylinder. We added a "filler" pipe in the middle with a bend, then attached the muffler to that. The muffler still had one stock bend in it that fit perfectly through the frame. I'm happy with the way it turned out. None of the exhaust rubs on the frame at any one point, and the muffler's mounting bracket lines up nicely with the rear cargo rack to fasten in place. Sounds a lot nicer than the straight pipe that was on before. And for 30 bucks, I figure it will work just fine
