air filter for 83 honda atc200

I tried the search, I even tried google and ordered a supposedly direct replacement and ended up with something that isnt even close to be able to fit .
If you have a part number for the air filter that fits the stock air box (83 honda atc200), I would appreciate it.

Not sure of the exact part number, i know there is a Uni brand replacement as well. Last one i worked on i bought a OEM replacement from DrATV..

thanks! I ordered an oem replacement and got something waaaaaay totally different, dunno if its from the space shuttle or what, but not an atc 200

If its an 83 200E then this one will fit that i linked you to. If its not an E then its another year, which might be your issue. Also its possible someone put the wrong filter support screen in it from another trike. But otherwise the one from Dr ATV should work!

The Uni number for an 83, according to my model sheet here from them, is NU4068ST, if you have any dealers around you that carry Uni products you should be able to get one of those as well. I also found them listed on eBay..

Now the question is, of the two i linked you to, do either of them look like the one you got? I would like to see a picture of the one you have, one of us on here could probably ID what it actually is for. Did it have a part number on the package? Could reverse check that as well.

the one in my bike is original and dusted away when touched, this bike sat inside storage for over 5 years, anyways, the filter I got is round and flat shaped with hole in center like a stud would protrude and a nut would screw down and hold it , I dunno.
It came in a genuine honda parts bag and has a part number of 17254-965-003. I'm curious if somone can look it up by the honda part # and tell me what I really got in the mail :-)

Be sure to wipe the oil off the inside of the rubber flange so it grips the airbox ring. You could reuse the steel "cage" of the original filter, but you would have to punch a hole in the end of the UNI filter when mounting it.
