I traded my 200x for a 350x and it has a leather gas tank cover it looks very original. To the trike. Any idea how rare or valueable these are?

CEET still sells the tank covers. Ive had them on 2 different trikes with no issues whatsoever.
hello dcreel
i think he was wondering if it was a factory option not an aftermarket one. what are they for?
protect the tank's finish, or hide an ugly tank.. lol No, they weren't factory but there were a few companies selling them. I think Answer sold them too.
They are made out of vinyl instead of leather. They were basically made to protect the tank from scuffs and scratches, but as time went on and metal tanks starting looking bad from dents and worn paint from years of riding, they were a cheap effective aftermarket, item to dress up, or hide the worn tank look. I am not aware if HONDA ever actually made one as a OEM replacement, and I am pretty sure they did not make them from factory. Usually CEET or ANSWER made them.
They still sell brand new for about 40-50$. Not rare by any means
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

I had one an a 185s in the 80s. They're aftermarket. Usually used for covering up damaged paint.
I had one on my 200x it kept the tank really nice after all the years.
