sending cash through the mail

is it safe to send cash through the mail in an envelope? has anyone ever tried it??

i wouldnt do it caus eif a mail man or who ever handals the mail before they get it can tell it has cash in it unless they are very ohnest they will take it cause all they have to say i dont no ware trailprotrailpro mailis it must have not goten to us with a check they have to atleast show proof of id unless its made out to cash then u will have the same prob cause any one can cash it

i have done it lots of times, just ask john, haha (jeswinehart), just wrap it in a piece of paper so you cant see it through the envelope

I've never sent cash before,but i have recieved cash from buyers. Never had a problem. They just wrap it in a piece of paper and be done with it!

Put the $$ inbetween 2 folded sheets of newsprint. The money won't show when held up to the light.

its actually illegal to send U.S. Cash through the US Postal service, but with a little tape on the envelope and by making sure no one can se einside the envelope, youre jsut fine 90% of the time.

Of course hes heard of money orders. Sometimes people would rather save time and send cash instead. Like $25 an under. You can get ripped either way.

I've sent cash before,but only to people I know. I wouldntg put alum foil in with it.That could set off a metal detector and be taken for a bomb.sounds wierd but not really after 9-11.

I've done it many times for items under or around $20. Yup always wrapped it in black or dark paper (didn't know it was illegal though, i just thought someone like a mailman or mail snoop might see the cash and steal it) Its a lot easier for me than making a trip to the bank which sometimes I can't do right away and paying an extra $3 for a money order (used to be free... :? ) I've been ripped once for a $5 item so yeah i would reccomend only sending it to people with a good reputation or that you know.

$3 for a money order? at our walmart its only $.47! i always send a MO just so i know they got it and they are not trying to rip me off. 90% of the time though i just pay with Paypal so i get my stuff faster.

How do you track money orders?

I almost always use money orders when sending money.
You can always refund them if they get lost in the mail. Once a guy tried to cheat me out of $90 but he didn't cash the money order and I was able to refund it in time.
