If it is a 2 stroke, and you dont get it, I'm only 5 hours away and will happily drive down and pic it up.
    Try and get a picture.

AHHHH,,,there were lotsa trikes that weren't "factory" 200r's that were two strokes ,,,,, wether they were bored out 125's or sleeved 250r's they all had one thing in common,,, built to compete in the 200CC CLASS

Companys like Klemm research use to offer sleeve down kits for 250 two stroke three wheelers for them to compete in the 200cc class. If you look through old magazines you will see that it was a popular thing to do back in the day. The class was quite competitive.
I would jump at the chance to own a bit of history like this if its in good condition

200R??? $500??? Dude, but it NOW before its gone!! The parts may be rare, but its worth it and it could be worth alot more in the future. To answer the other question, it is basicaly a 200X frame with a sleeved 250R engine. Wicked....

I would bet that it is a sleeved down 250R built to run the 200cc Pro Class. Although it sounds tempting I would first check and see if pistons & rings are still available for this "Special" application.

    Curtis.

FYI, Some of the more successful Privateers ran de-stroked motors instead of being sleeved down..

Selvy made a 200R kit. The thing about it is this. So what if it's a sleeved down 250R. Since it's an old race trike, chances are pretty damn good it's got the HondaLine short track kit, possibly a Cal-Fab or WestCoast Swingarm, an extended axle, racing exhaust system and God knows what other kinds of aftermarket racing goodies! (Where's the smiley face for "drool"! ) You can always get another 250R motor for the frame.

    Keep us posted!
