Forgive me father for I have sinned..at least from a trikers perspective!

    Promise no more quads..

Now this little Skidoo is in great shape..very low hours.

We haven't had much snow in SW Ontario to speak of for the last couple years, but I had a feeling this winter might be different. So when I saw this posted on Kijiji with trade offered..I threw the Yamaha at the guy and he loves it.

Both of us walked away feeling like we scored..a perfect trade.

That's a clean sled. 388 injected? Single or dual carb? Very nice little sleds! Check the rear driven spring in the clutch. They love to break them. Blow all the belt grit out of the clutches, lube em up,grease her,and assuming the carbs clean, you'll be ready for the ultimate fun! Sleds are hands down my favorite ride.
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

Actually Bill, it's just a little Citation 250 LS. Single cylinder..

Might start cruising for a second bigger sled for me, then I can teach my wife and daughter to ride and do some family fun. But this is the perfect learner machine, already had 2 offers to buy from friends!

I thought it was too small for a 340! I'm no Doo guy till the current stuff. Watch that rear spring! Probably not as much an issue on a 250! Nice sled though!

Scored this second machine a week or two back..older unit as the other is but it was a single owner machine and the condition is incredible!

1989 Skidoo Formula MX 462 with an amazingly low 1097KM (685miles) on the odometer..it has been garage stored for the last 5 years since the owner died and his son got it. He finally decided to part with it and I got it for $875..

Now I got a set..the small one for my wife and daughter to learn to ride on. The other for me..ready for snow!!

Well it has a lot of rot on the track from sitting so I have a new one ordered..the motor will be switched over to Synthetic XPS2 oil and treated with love.

I figure to start the 1st tank of the season with some extra oil like a break-in period, then ride it like it was made too!!

So hopefully it will give me lots of years of good service without teardowns..since I'm 45 and not the moron I was at 20 I won't beat it to death!!

Thanks for the FYI, I hope I never have to use it!

O thats no fun there... You going to put new drive shaft bearing in while you gotta pull the track off? Makes life so much easier in the long run lol. Synthetic is the way to go!

I'm too old and lazy to track myself..they are a prick and I haven't put one in myself in over 20 years. So I 'got a guy' for that..very skilled 15 year skidoo mechanic. I'll leave it in his capable hands to figure out the details.

If he feels a shaft bearing is a good plan..then it will get one. The other challenge will be finding the parts..

But hey, maybe you are the guy to ask this question since you like vintage sleds. I thought about changing out the thermostat, only because it's almost 25 years old and if it fails will take my almost virgin motor out.

The problem is every dealership or aftermarket part supply says it's absolete and I'm SOL..any thoughts about where I might find a NOS thermostat for this engine or what other hopefully non-obsolete engine crosses over the same part.

You'd have a buddy for life if you can help me solve this!!

I'll do some digging. This is quite the search lol. My typical sites bring it up as obsolete lol.
