New plastic on my 1976 Yamaha TT500

Well I debated on plastic from The Vintage Spoke or DC Plastics here- http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...-Vintage-Spoke
I've already had the bike for 16 years, I've got the title and don't plan on every getting rid of it so I decided to go all the way. I went with The Vintage spoke and also got their new grommets, side panel hardware and sprung for the side panel decals as well. I still need a new front number plate and might go with DC Plastics on that.
I gotta say this plastic is amazing. Its injection molded so its nice and shiney like OE. I also cleaned the wheels and repainted the bottom end of the engine and the exhaust. I've painted the exhaust a few times now and it will eventially burn off. The wheels need a bit more work and the bike still needs some overall detailing but its looking pretty good. The exhaust might seem odd at first, I thought it was and actually bought a stock exhaust for it probably 12 years ago. It really lost a lot of power with the stock exhaust. Through some research, the open down pipe is pretty popular for this bike. Back 10 years ago I found several places selling them new, but I can't seem to find them anymore.
I gotta say the TT500 is my favorite Yamaha of all time and really puts it to my pre 1982 Honda 500's with 3 years older technology and half the valves. I'm a Honda guy but I gotta give credit where credit is due.
    Here's before and after.

That looks sharp. How loud is it with that exhaust? does it have baffles in there or is it just straight through?

Thanks! The exhaust is straight through with no baffles. I am thinking about adding a small internal baffle. It would be real easy. Its 1.75 inch pipe which is real common on Harleys. I'm just curious to see if it might help performance any, though I have no complaints in that department. I would say its about as loud as a motocross 450 that has an aftermarket pipe, so its not excessively loud I guess. It doesn't make my ears ring or anything like that.

    Looks good.

My first street legal bike was a XT500, always liked it.

Nice. Most of the XT500's I see in my area are stripped down like a TT500, kind of a shame.

Yep! I was actually looking for an SR500 years ago but I got over that I guess.
I've been doing more cleaning and polishing, its looking much better than the pics above. I'll post an update when I can.
