What's the best way to ship fenders?

Like the title states what is the best way to ship a set of back fenders? I've never had to ship anything this large before none the less as fragile as 30 year old fenders. Whats it usually cost to ship something like this?

I double bag them in HD contractors trash bags and tape them up tight . Shipping USPS parcel post is by far the cheapest way to ship them and by not boxing them is gets the dimensions as small as possible . I have shipped a dozen or so fenders this way with no issues .

At the current shipping rates.....your better off to load them up in your car and take your family on a vacation..LOL

I honestly can't fathom how they are getting near 100 bucks to take a 5 pound piece of plastic from one side of the country to another.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

I'm kind of curious on this as well. I'm thinking of listing front fenders from a Polaris Trail Boss on ebay. Has anyone done this lately and have an exact price, how far it went, and what kind of fenders?

I put the rear fenders in a box that I had to make myself from 3 other boxes. Looks like its gonna cost around $80 to ship it about 300 miles.
