New reproduction 85/86 250r-350x front brake hoses.

I received my new repro brake hose from ebay seller soilmec. Its great quality and a great price. The only difference from the original I can see is that the fittings are black and not the olive chromate color from the factory. I have a feeling that 99% of the guys would never know what the factory color was if you showed them this hose, but if you were doing a 100% oem restoration it would be slightly different.

For a build like mine that is not 100%, this is the next best thing to a $500 NOS hose. This hose was $103 shipped to my door in about three days. I am very pleased with it. This is the same seller that makes the repro hose guides.

I have no affiliation with this seller, but I thought I would give my review of the stuff he offers.

I actually contacted him off of ebay, because I had bought stuff from him in the past, so maybe mine was cheaper due to not having to pay FEE-Bay charges.

I would have just got a braided line. BUT, if you want a real nice OEM hose, Mike has the best reproductions.......

What I like and see is allot of guys making near spot on replicas

I didn't know he offered any repro lines or I would have definitely went that way. For a rider I agree 100% it would of been braided or used the stocker. This build is a little different though.

    Hi guys,
Yes I developed these hoses with Carey (soilmec), I am good friends with him and we split the tooling cost to have the silicone end piece made I took the 350x hose and he is doing the 250r . they are real nice and I have used these on all of my restos closest thing you will get to a brand new hose from honda at about a 5th of the price , we are going to start making the ends in OD green as well down the road but for now they are black , in fact if you bought a replacement hose from honda they did come through black as well so for 99% of the guys this is not an issue but the purist do want what came on the bike in 86 . I sold out of my 350x lines but should have some more ready shortley . I developed the hose guides as well with him and has been a few years of working with the tooling shop getting them correct , they are real nice as well. this stuff costs some serious money to do correct but we will be doing more as we sell other products to help fund it . thanks for the positive remarks

    Mike

Wow, small world. Have you considered selling all these items in the 3ww shop? It would sure be nice to just stay on here when looking for new parts instead of going to Fee-Bay. I also agree with you that these are great quality. Please let me know when you offer the od colored ended hoses. While I have you here though Mike, are there any other products we can look forward too?

I would like to see if you are still selling these. I need 2 front lines for 2 of my bikes.
