Well this is new to me but I'm sure other guys have known for awhile. Anybody have any dealings with this company? The site doesn't list a price but i'm sure is high http://www.bigwheelconversion.com/

If I remember correctly, and sometimes I don't, the builder of these kits posted his build on one of the sites, either here or .org. What a nice machine. With all the time and effort put into these kits, it's easy to see why they cost what they do. You have to pay if you want to play. I wish him all the best with his endeavor.

Most don't appreciate the $ of time and effort in the name of R&D. Only quantity will bring the price down.

I really dont see the point of these, except for a Sand machine. On the trails, a regular dirtbike would be much more advantageous.

    300rman,

Besides sand, there is some other loose stuff that favors the fat-tired rider:

I think of them as the only four season bikes out there.

The Snowhawk was a factory machine for a few years. They came in minibike sizes too. The full sized ones had 500cc fan cooled engines at the beginning of production but were changed over to a 600 liquid cooled engine and then finally a fire breathing 800.

They are awesome, fun machines. Unless they tip over (they weigh over 400 pounds) or unless they break (they are fairly complicated and not the easiest machines to work on). It's a good thing that neither of those things ever happen.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the videos.
