My own recommendation is let the jets sit in carb cleaner over night , ( the carb cleaner will be gone/evaporated by morning so dont panic lol) that should loosin the gunk enough to pick the muck out of the jet with a sewing needle (be gentle though) ,when all muck is removed you should be able to blow through it without any stop ups. Dirty jets are a nuisance thatll get on just about any riders nerves on any old machine after its been sitting for any prolonged amount of time. I start my 185s every 2/3 weeks just to prevent it , it always starts first pull and runs smooth forever. Heres a 82 185s needle after sittin with just oil in it for 2 years It was a fun rebuild.Lets hear your advice and tips on this matter.
