can anyone tell if this fmf pipe is for the kxt. im afraid of buying a kx pipe. the owner says it clears everything. are the kx pipes that different that there is no chance of confusing them.

I bet 200xbasket can help you. He put a pro circuit pipe from a 86 KX onto his. He did have to do some mods.
I have two stock pipes and they have some bends out above the coolant tank. I did notice DG pipe for KXTs were pretty straight and rode higher above the coolant tank than stockers.
Tough to tell.

FMF never made a KXT pipe. I had one ordered in late 1987 for my 86 and they decided not to produce them. They never developed them past pre-production is the story I got. So I settled for a Bill's Pipe and never had any complaints. That pipe looks a lot like a DG unit.

a kx pipe will not fit without welding and bending. that really looks liek a stock pipe to me.
i thought that pipe looked stock also, its not any fatter than stock. also its missing the four bolt holes for the rubber stops in the back.
