I don't know anything on your exhaust but , i have a new maier front fender 81-82 model and a rear set of fenders if your interested ? I am located in Dayton .
Maybe Fabio will chime in. He has a Kerker on his R.
Comparing it to a kerker, it seems to have some differences on the very end of the silencer.

Be sure to wear a helmet every time you ride that 250r. It will make your 200x look like a childs toy, and that thing can get out of control quick if you dont know what your doing. Just trying to look out for you, and nice to see another air fooler come back to life.

I'm no expert on the Air-Hammers, but it looks like you have a re-painted stock pipe with some sort of aftermarket silencer....

That is a stock expantion chamber with an old school dg silencer.
you sure bud? cause the dg pipes I see for this bike look like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/250958003787...ht_1208wt_1171
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
Ok, that would be the silencer.... The pipe is on the other end of the exhaust system..
And as to what brand your silencer is, it could very well be a DG... For as many years as they have been around, it's doubtful they are making the silencers the exact same way they did 25+ years ago....If there are no identifying markings on it, I would take the word of those here who recognize it. And FWIW, the silencer has no significant influence on performance anyway..

Well the silencer is what I obviously meant if the header is stock, I obviously knew the header was stock. Also yes just a slip on exhaust can make a differene, but ya the headers make the most differencelike my 240 blaster was slow with the stock header, but with the Fmf header and silencer it was amazing the difference (way better take off and atleast a 10mph top end difference) Crazy how some metal can make a diff...

okay well a silencer is knows as a slip on exhaust... tell me how this happens then?? http://hmfracing.com/shop/pipes/yamaha/raptor-350-05-09 (will pick up 8% horsepower) http://hmfracing.com/shop/pipes/pola...tlaw-500-06-07 (makes 7% more hp) but slip ons/silencers dont do anything remember... sorry bud but your wrong there...
Ok, you are comparing apples and oranges when you are comparing a 2-stroke exhaust and 4-stroke exhaust and how they work. In some cases on a 4-STROKE performance gains can be seen with a better flowing muffler. But optimum gains are achieved with the header and muffler combination along with upgraded intake, IE better air filter. I would also take the "dyno sheets" provided by HMF, for HMF add-ons with a grain of salt. Apparently, you don't realize the differences between 2-stroke and 4-stroke exhaust systems and how they work...
BUT, we were/are talking about your 2-stroke 250r here aren't we??
I have been wrenching on and riding these things since before you were born. I'm not wrong on the original point being discussed...
Done here.....
