    250es Big Red prices

What would a 85'.86' Big red in a condition of 6-7 out of 10 go for? 10 being mint.

I was offered three in that condition range asking price $500-700.

    500-700 is a good price for a 250es..

Just be sure to check it carefully..they can be hiding some expensive neglect related issue that can cost alot of money and hassle later.

Namely rear differential issues..ask the seller if you can pop the cap on the differential and check the oil.

That also depends on where you live. It seems like I see alot of people in the North-East seem to get really cheap deals compared to what I see around here.
    I paid $1460 for this:

    This one was $600:
    1974 Honda ATC 70
1985 Honda ATC 250 ES Big Red
1986 Honda ATC 250 ES Big Red
    2008 Honda Rancher 420
    1983 Hustler 945-HK 6x6 - Fire Breathing 627cc V-Twin Monster
    2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 LT
1983 GMC K10 Sierra Classic Suburban 6.2 Liter Diesel

Wow that top one is really nice. Anything I should really look for when buying one of these? Never had a Big Red before.

Thanks, I love it. Always wanted one, finally got it in July.

As far as what to look for, like Doug said, check the diff fluid; also listen to the engine idle for things like timing chain slapping against the case. I see a lot of worn out axle and hub splines on ATVs that have been treated poorly, so check the wheels for any left to right movement or wobbliness (is that a real word?). If it still has a metal tank, check for leaks around the bottom.

IMHO, the ATC250ES Big Red is hands down the best trike ever manufactured. They are my absolute favorite! Good luck with your purchase!

BTW, have a look at the bottom one now:http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...ed-250es-Build

I have also heard that they are high up there in Canada. The one pictured looked like hell, but is in perfect mechanical condition, thanks to having a good owner who performed regular maitenance and took proper care of it.

A few months ago there was a 250SX that was locked up on CL down here and it sold for about $500!

Not 100% sure on this, but I believe that E = electric start, and S = shaft drive.

Well it seams to me it depends on how much money i have, If i have a little bread and am looking for a es (I am always looking for a es by the way ) they are going for 1400 for a 8 on the scale and when im broke (which all the time ) i see them for 4 to 5 for a 9 on the scale

But that how it looks to me at least

I never pay more than $600 for mine, but then of course put a TON of money in for rims and tires, new seat cover, new grips, sometimes plastics, maybe POR-15 tank repair kit, new cables, disc brakes, powdercoat the racks, etc
    My wheelers:

    current:
'86 Honda ATC Big Red 250es - disc brakes, lifted, spaced and 27" Super Swamper TSL / Vampire (1.22" lugs) all-around
'86 Honda ATC 250sx - Mud Bugs (1.19" lugs) in the rear
'85 Honda ATC 250sx - not currently running
'85 Honda ATC Big Red 250es - runs
'85 Honda ATC Big Red 250es - runs

    previous:
    '85 Honda ATC 200s
'85 Honda ATC Big Red 250es
'85 Honda ATC Big Red 250es
