Do the honda 250 es and 250 sx use the same parts

I have a honda 250 big red es... I have a chance to get a honda 250 sx bike for parts.. He said the bike had a good drive train, etc. but the carb was messed up... If I bought the Sx, could I use it for a parts bike for my es...?? Or should I hold out for an es

Many of the parts are the same..engine, starter, carb...

But lots are different. Differential, rear axle, tank...

Just today I installed an after market exhaust originally intended for an ES onto my SX..fit perfectly.

My personal opinion on buying 3wheelers, If the price is right and you have storage room, GET IT!! You can always fix it, trade it or sell it on down the road.
