250r=way faster.....you can ride them both on a farm, but if your doing farm work...I would say the quad sport.

I agree with Xfile. My 81 250R (same motor) does not like to putt or go slow. It likes to rev be put through the gears. The Suzuki's auto clutch would probably be better suited to the farm. If you wanna go fast most of the time get the 250R, if you like to take it easy (and drive something less demanding) go with the Quadsport.

It.....hurts......to say this, but for on the farm a quad will beat a 250r any day of the week, unless you are herding cattle that was fathered by The Flash.

well i have a farm and had a 250r and you wont be doing chores with that!!! but instaed of getting the quadsport, a bigred 250 is a awsome farm machine or a 250sx then you would still be riding a trike!

I love my Big Reds, and today I went up against a friend on his 300 FourTrax, I outmanuvered, outpulled, outran, outresponded, outstyled him, on every level. So proud of that 250es.

for putting around the 250r is no good, likes to be reved and you can run in to plug fouling issues if you put around a lot on a 2 stroke, 250r was built to go fast and be raced, not be a farm tool.
