Do Lifan 125 engines bolt into Honda 110 frames?

I've been considering getting one of these Lifan kits as it will be about the same amount of money as rebuilding my current engine and getting a new carb for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LIFAN...Q5fAccessories.

Does anybody have experience with these, and will they bolt into a 110 frame? It looks like it will, but they only list the smaller 50 and 70 bikes for fitment.

I think you also need to swap the valve cover too for the front support. Unless they make an adapter kit that includes all of those pieces?

All you need is the brackets from the Dr ATv. (they list it for the CT90). The brackets aren't perfect though I had to slightly bend mine for the bolts to line up.

The engine will sit back farther in the frame, I am not using the front mount at all on my 90. Mounts just like a 70 now. You have to drill the upper mounting hole in the engine to a 1/2" if I remember correctly. The only other issue is just the foot pegs and were you want them o sit. I had my 140 engine into the frame within 30 minutes including the exhaust. I am running a pit bike exhaust slightly bent to fit.

Why ditch the front mount? That's exactly how I bent my 110's frame to hell, without the front bracket.

I am running an aftermarket frame..

The lifan style engines sit farther back in the frame by several inches, just swapping the valve cover will not work without making or modifying the stock bracket. The factory 110 frame's are only stamped steel and will bend even with the front mount on there.

I can try and get pics for you this weekend when I pull all of the bikes out of the shed. I'll get pics of the mounts, how the engine sits as well as the exhaust.

    ^ exactly.
the case tols up fine. If the cheapo ATV that has much inferier metal supports than the ATC can use 2 rear mounts only, there's no reason your 110 ATC can't. They pretty much bolt it win a few slight mods as mentioned above. and if you get one with a bottom starter, you can have an electric start!!!! Then jsut make sure you make a skidplate so you have the starter protected from damage. I have a friend who works on the small ATVs he makes a living at it. He said he has tried several motors and the 125s did not produce any more performance in the same atv tyhe 110cc bikes did.

If you want mor epwoer out of it, talk to Vince at www.tboltusa.com. Tell him Mike Wichter the guy who races with TaoTao sent ya. He'll take care of ya.
I recommend you contact my friend Steve. I bet he can ship you a compelte working motor with everything for a very good deal. better than ebay for sure.
    his info is:

Again tell Steve I sent ya. He makes a living repairing the chinese small ATVs.

Yea, I would love to see a picture too. Thats good info about the 125 vs the 110. I have a 90 roller frame (and thats being generous) that will be running soon (I hope), and I have a good Honda 90 and 110 I could use, but was wondering about the 125 option. I might just use the honda 110, it has the H/L subtranny and thats all I use on my other 90 here in alaska. sloooowwww, but fun!
