RIP Trace.. Godspeed.
It was a company that used to make aftermarket parts for 3 wheelers in the 80's. They've sold out and gone on to other atv things to my understanding. But the tank is top mounted and designed to fit the seat and frame better. Just ran across this one for sale and bought to put the tank on the drag bike but I almost hate to to do it. It was fixed up for the dunes and racing but has sat for about 5 years or more. Got to go through the tune up and oil up process and look it over real good.
Just got it in this evening.

Well if ya decide to part it... I might be interested in a part or 2. I don't need much as mine is mostly complete
If someone has one and wants it copied my pipe builder builds tanks too and could copy one fairly easly. Pm me if you would be intrested.
This discussion has been brought up many times over the years. Harry Klemm didn't make the top mount tanks........ JP racing supplied them to him, and was the one and only manufacturer of them with 100% certainty. I actually posted the pics of the article with descriptions of the Klemm Tri-z from 86. I clearly states that the Klemm prepped machines used top mount tanks sourced from J.P. Just a FYI.
