Does anyone know what kind of tank this might be on this Z? He says it aluminum but no name appears to be on it.
    Thanks

    Picked up a new ride.

Well I bought the bike and can send a better pic of the tank now. It's in fine shape for its age.
Seems to have a west coast swinger on it. After market pipe but I don't remember the name of it. Stabilizer bar under the tank. Nearly new tires. Gonna take her for a good run.

It was a company that used to make aftermarket parts for 3 wheelers in the 80's. They've sold out and gone on to other atv things to my understanding. But the tank is top mounted and designed to fit the seat and frame better. Just ran across this one for sale and bought to put the tank on the drag bike but I almost hate to to do it. It was fixed up for the dunes and racing but has sat for about 5 years or more. Got to go through the tune up and oil up process and look it over real good.
Just got it in this evening.

This discussion has been brought up many times over the years. Harry Klemm didn't make the top mount tanks........ JP racing supplied them to him, and was the one and only manufacturer of them with 100% certainty. I actually posted the pics of the article with descriptions of the Klemm Tri-z from 86. I clearly states that the Klemm prepped machines used top mount tanks sourced from J.P. Just a FYI.
