    auto clutch vr's manual

Well..I have just about 5 weeks left to decide what my next ATC will be,I have got it down to a 200X/350X or a 250SX/250es big red. I would like to know a little bit about pro's and con's of shaft drive vr's chain drive, like durability, hard to find parts on the shaft drive? Do you get more life out of the auto or manual, given It will be all trail riding. I like the 250SX but I don't know what to look for when I go to buy one as far as play in the rear end.I know what to look for with the chain drive. Any advice on any of these trikes I would welcome. Thanks in advance..and wish me luck!

I personally love my 200x.. Its light enough to whip around on trails and doesn't tire me out plus parts are easy to come by.

My 250sx I have only ridden once since I got it and its a lot heavier but I like the Reverse and electric start ...

I'm thinking 200/350X is gonna be the ay to go for me. I do like the idea of having reverse and electric start of the big red or SX I just can't get over the bulkyness of them. I don't suppose their is a water cooled four stroke out there in 1980's?

Don't do it wrong the first time, get the 350x. The 200x's are fun and "light" but the 350x has enough power to slide around all day and go over anything.

got ya. I had a 200X back in the day. that trike would do just about anything but I think a all stock 350X will be my choice.

Same, when i had my 200x, I felt like it just didn't have enough grunt. Especially in first gear when your in tighter places or climbing and you need to go slow and work the clutch to maneuver...

This might be a taboo question, but can I find or alter one to work...a cargo rack for the rear?

There is a guy on .org that had a BR style rack on his 350x. I have a 6-pack rack on mine.

And the 200x doesn't? So what I've been doing with my 200X is all completely an imagination??

Seriously, I LOVE my 200x, and it has gone EVERYWHERE I've asked it too, even up a ~75% grade rocky hill my 110 would never make it up. I slide my X all around too, just kick into 3rd and punch it

Not bashing the 200X Xpress the bike rocks no doubt I had a 85 for long time and loved it, as a matter of fact I'm still considering one since I only weigh about 145lbs. My friends I ride with are kinda pushin for a quad in my stable but after todays ride with their artic cat 4004X4 and polaris 325 trail boss and my 250R ,they didn't stand a chance in tight spot's of trail making.short hills out of the creek the trail boss was standing straight up and down and the cat was kinda wide and heavy and really scary if it was to roll over. The only mistake I did was wear shorts..OUCH on my calfs..lol. I'm kinda woried about finding parts for the 350X and neither trike being water cooled but I guess good oil and frequent changes should be ok. I'm looking for a atv that can stop/go all day and ride slow to blaze some serious trails on 250acers. Plus climb out of creek bed on comand. My 250R does it but seems to like moving faster better.

Lol wow man you over-react to everything, the 200x is a good trike but like anyone on here will tell you it's tame compared to a 350x and had you ever spent any real time on one you'd know that. I loved my 200X's (I've owned 3....) but after my 350X I'll never look back.

Jeffs250, the 350x is the king trike of trails, I really suggest you look at getting one, parts are not really any harder to find then a 200x and the 350x has an oil cooler so if you're worried about over-heating the 200x is much more prone to that then the 350x.

Nice, like I said 200X's are fun for what they are but aren't anything like a 350X, that being said I never said a 200X was a bad or slow trike.
