PW80 Cylinder and Piston on Tri Zinger YT60

Looking for a little more power out of the little zinger. Has anyone put a PW/BW80 cylinder and piston on these? Will it fit? If not, what are some of the other mods people to to get more power out of them? Thanks

I believe a E-ton 70 cyl is the closest. Plus, some of their pistons can be used as oversize in oem tri-zinger cyl. I had all of the 'interchange info' it one point from my yamaha friend who was big into this stuff 7-8 years ago. There are options, and i'll try and get this figured out at some point.

    What are the options?

So far I am trying to get some bigger pistons out of the UK and I have heard the Honda Express oversized pistons may work as well. I have 2 junk cylinders here and another one that may be usable on the way.

I have not tried the PW80 cylinder just because I have not heard of anyone beeing able to use it yet.

Were these coated from the factory?

I am not very familiar with these engines, But I would like to suggest buying a base gasket for the PW before spending the money on a jug.. you can then use the base gasket to determine if the cylinder studs are in the proper location... do the engines have the same stroke?

If you want to put a larger cylinder on a zinger, you have to do pretty much what greenhuman does to the 200x cylinders. You need to build up the cases with welds, then you need to redrill your cases for new studs in a different location and then you need to machine out where the bottom of you cylinder fits into the cases. Without doing this, well, it's just alot of work for very little return.

Few more questions. I want to block off the pre mix stuff and mix my own gas. What all is required? What kind of throttle cable do I use?

What is the STD bore on the Zinger? Thanks

I have a friend that has a PW50 with the PW80 cylinder on it. When I see him I will ask what it takes to do the swap. Not to familure with the Zinger so I dont know how close the engines are. Anybody on here know how different they are?

Its pretty easy to block off... I took the pump all the way apart, used a small rubber washed on a tight fitting bolt with a steel locknut, and then tack welded the nut to the bolt, and sealed for extra protection (from the outside) with epoxy... Using the stock cable still, without issue. (just removed the injection cable)

You can buy all the stuff, cable housing, cable, and ends from Dr. ATV and then you have to custom cut and make your cable to size is the easiest way. There may be a motorcycle cable that fits, but I checked 20 or so cables and never found one myself. It was easier for me to cut and assemble my own.

I've heard of a lot of people bolting on the YT60 cylinder to the PW50, so if the PW80 cyl. fits on the 50, it should fit on the zinger.
