Goodafternoon everybody back in 1985 my grandpa took my dad and bought this beautiful 1985.5 Yamaha Triz 250 in December of 85 my dad has always kept this beauty garage and well taken care of we use to ride it every Father’s Day till 1999 he melted the piston and that was it as a teenager I remember begging him to let me have it or buy the parts for it even offered to buy it off of him when I was 27 he never took out of the garage since 1999 unfortunately my father passed away in 2021 and we were going threw everything and the whole family knew the three wheeler was coming home to me il got it out took it home drained everything re did all the hoses lines fluids swapped the piston and remember kicking it about 6 times and it started right up and I cried so much I’m not gonna lie ha so this bike is 99 percent original besides piston now even have the original pink slip and manual
My question is should I leave it original or do what I want to it

I say original, anyone can make a modded tri-z. Very few can say they have an original well-kept tri-z. But hey that's just me!

It may be just how sentimental of a dude I am, but I think you should leave it. Maybe even clear coat the painted parts just to make sure they are as close to the day your old man left it. I know it's 3 years late, but I am so sorry for your loss, big dawg.
