Cheetah High Performance has finally put the long awaited return of the reproduction Dunlop KT77 tires found on 3rd generation 250R models, however being 4 ply instead of 2 as per OEM, online for sale. You can get them here!
Those last few pics are from Mike Thurman's ATC250R. Here's what he wrote about them:
"New Cheetah HP577 tires in action. They Hook Good & Look Good.. I think we should all thank Ernest Castillo for bringing the original style ATC 250R tires back to the market.. To me the factory style tires are the only tires that belong on a 250R. . I almost had to relearn how to ride the bike after running on my worn down Dunlops for so long. You don't dump the clutch and slide. This thing will hook up and throw you right off the back if you let it. I just realized these pictures are all after I mounted them I left the pressure at 5psi. They look a little rounded. On my second ride I set them at 3.5 psi. They look a little flatter but I really did not notice any difference in the ride or performance of the bike after the air pressure adjustment. Either way when you nail that throttle and the tires hook up you are holding on for dear life anyways."
At $200 a pair, I would have to say they seem worth it.
front model should be available sometime around the ending of 2015 beginning of 2016.

Ernest, that is great news, indeed. Thanks for the update.
Wow, I love these tires. I've had them about a week ('86 250R). They fit just like my old Ohtsu tires (yes, still had the original on, they were pretty bald). The look awesome, and the traction is really sweet. Have to hang on now, again! I got them through Ebay after talking to Ernest over the phone. Shipping was quick. He offers them in a soft dragstrip rubber or a harder MX rubber-- I went with the MX and its perfect. I'll pick up one of the front tires when those come out. Would also love to see the 22 high for the 350X, I'd buy a set in a heartbeat.
If they are available on ebay (I can't find them), post a link to the auction...seems fishy that none of the main members on here have bought any of these, or atleast commented on them, just "new to the board" members...
