When I bought my BR, the previous owner did a cream coat in the tank... Guessing he skipped all the prep and just slapped the cream in... Big white globs of crap, and chunks of rust stuck in it... AND IT LEAKS!!! Anyone ever get this crap back out, so I can weld up the pinholes and fix it correctly?

How can I remove old KREEM?

Acetone or methyl ethyl ketone (available at most paint stores) will re-dissolve Kreem. Fill about half full, seal the tank and leave for about 24 hours with periodic agitation. Drain into a container and inspect tank. If Kreem remains, pour solutions back into tank, reseal and repeat until all Kreem is removed.

Acetone and MEK are avaialble at Home Depot

MEK is one nasty "known to cause cancer" substance so wear chemical gloves and eye protection and either a good respirator or do iut outside and don't breathe any in :D

Of course EVERYTHING causes cancer but I've read bad stuff about MEK.

Will acetone touch that liner at all??
