I rolled my pride and joy (84 ATC 200). Bent the hell out of the frame, bars rim, and cracked the plastics. I got a 82 185s complete parts bike the next day. Did a total parts transfer including the fork. The problem I have is I cannot afford new rear fenders and cant find a used set. I have only been riding a handfull of times and wonder how imortant it is to have rear fenders. Even with fenders I have gotten my feet under the tires in the mud holes. Will I look nuts without fenders? Is it more dangerous? Sorry if this sounds stupid. If anyone knows of a decent set of rear fenders for a 82 185s, let me know.....Vince

The fenders on a 3 wheeler is what gives it the look to me. Without fenders, it would look naked. Just like a car, the body and fenders give it its looks. Without fenders, even crappy ones, it makes it look tacky, and like somthing is missing. They keep a lot of crap off your bike, and you, and without them eventually you would start to get tired of getting wet and muddy from hitting the smallest puddle. Its more comfortable with fenders on, the way the machine was meant to be. Thats my opinion.

If you are hitting mud holes without fenders you will get filthy. Chunks of mud and rocks hitting you can hurt too.

Just keep your eyes peeled for fenders.

well, that is the kind of opinions I needed to hear. I will keep looking for plastics.

I ride without mine quite a bit to save the organal fenders, i find its easyer to forget what your doing and hit your hands and legs on the tires, and one time i got my boot cought between my skid plate and sprocket, I defiantly would keep looking for them.

there is a thread where someone made some Rubbermaid fenders...... better than nothing from what they posted
