Ignition timing could be out.

How do you know it's running hot? These do run somewhat hot since they are air cooled.

coudl also be running alittle lean asside from the timing, but yea air cooled engines do run a bit warmer than water cooled.

yes, how do you know it's running hot? if the plug is white, richen the main jet.
all these bikes will make the header glow if left idling with the choke on too long

well i have 3 other 200x's and this one is definately getting hotter. could the valves have anything to do with it?

valve adjsutment would cause noise or incorrect idle/running. but running hot, probelby not.
you sure the person before you didn;t boe it 2mm over or shove a 12:1 piston and you didn't tune it correctly?

pull the plug , see what it looks like, while it's out, do a compression test. Stock compression on a 200x is 164psi.
That will tell me ALOT !!:beer

Feed the carb some KFC.
Otherwise increase the main jet size.
