Hey guys what do I need to order to fix a oil leak that is dripping from the shifter on a 86 model. It had never dripped before and now all of a sudden is getting bad. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

You can change it by screwing a screw into it and prying it out.

That seal gets dirty from chain gunk. Sometimes I've been able to wipe the inside lip with a pin and a very light cloth as it can be just dirt stopping the seal from sealing. It's a patch at best anyhow.....

Thanks for the info guys. I just put a new stator in it and thought I was up and running for a bit and now oil on the floor. Is there a name for this seal you think? I thought it maybe could be purchased seperate from the complete set but I am not for sure. Many thanks for the help.

just called the shifter seal, they are cheap and very easy to replace. like dirt said just screw in a screw and yank it out with some pliers. make sure you drain the oil first or else you will make a mess lol.. then using a deep well socket gently tap in the new seal, making sure you clean the area firstof all debri
the dealer has those cheap

Thanks again guys, I cleaned it up this weekend, and that fixed it. I will be ordering a new one to be on the safe side. Thanks
