I've read through quite a few posts but didn't find information that would be helpful in my situation. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
I know the frankien-z runs like a champ. But here are some issues I am having with the carb, or possibly the reeds. To start things off, it has no idle. I've tried to adjust it, but no luck. Also, about mid throttle it gets sketchy. As if it hesitates a little. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to go about troubleshooting these particular issues?
Thanks a ton!

yes ditch the old 32 round slide...get a 38mm PWK! problem solved..
sounds like the pilot jet is clogged
you can take the reed petals and flip them .. that only works for so long tho.. what kind of reeds? stock?. if there's a 1/8 in gap.. I wouldnt even bother..brand new ones will do that after 20min..
it would be way easyer to get a PWK they run good with them.. no flat spot like the stock carb going into the mid

Thanks bro. Do you have a website I can go to, or just look on ebay for that particular kind?

WOW! Those carbs are pricey! I'll try cleaning the pilot jet first, and go from there.

try a post in the classifides, keep a eye on ebay,, lots of sleds have pwks on them,,look there also...some times you can get two or 3 off a sled for 100 and sell the other two..prob not to many sleds in Alb..? them old round slides are a PITA.. dont get a PJ carb they dont IDLE for S$#@ ,, I went back to the stock carb on my trail bike ,, because I rather have it Idle..I'm lookin myself for one for that bike,,

This is new to me. BR was talking about a 38mm PWK. I am not sure if that round or flat. Do you have something like that?
