Was there a heat shield on the exhaust of a 350x where the pipe leaves the frame and runs near the fender? Anyone have a pic?

yes their is a heat sheild on the stock 350X header pipes i dont have a pic but i know there their !!!

I have that one, but I was wondering about here. The last time I went on a long ride my fender was pretty warm where the pipe runs past and goes into the muffler. So I made this out of aluminum to block and dissapate the heat away from the plastic. It works good, so I got to thinking that there was one on here stock.

thats nice and as fair as i know their was no sheild their u should go into production!!!
just look at all the old fenders with a hole melted there (like mine) and that is proof there was no heat shield there!
Nice little fab job though!!

There is also available, a self adhesive asbestos-like heat shield, just peel and stick.
