Been working on this for a few days. Building it for my son, he has been needing a bit more power lately.

It's a 99 cr80 frame, 200x: front triples, forks, hub, brake, wheel. Rear end is a 350x swinger and axle. Motor is a cr80 motor built for a shifter cart. Lotsa porting ect, it's damn fast.
Front tire is too big for my taste still, and I think I am going to extend it 3-4 inches.
It's far from done, just getting it ready for the dunes and see how it goes before I clean it up.

get the dunlop kt 151 for the front its a 22x7x11 and will be light years ahead of that old meat

I thought about that, I really want to get a 10" front wheel though....
you will have to put a 85-86 250R hub on then you cant make the 10 inch wheel fit the 200x hub.

How difficult was it to get the 350X rear end on the 99 cr80 frame? What about the 200x triples and front end?
It looks great.. something I'd like to do for my son.

The front bolts right on. If/when you can figure out a smaller front tire, you will want to give it a little less rake.
The 350x rear isn't too hard. You have to do some cutting on the front of the swing arm. After you get it to fit and the sprocket lined up you will noticed the center of the frame vs the middle of the carrier is a bit off You have to do it this way to make the sprocket line up. So I just marked the center of the frame on the carrier and spaced the hubs out to be even on both sides.

I'd really like to try something like this for my son as well. Thanks for the ideas. I'm just happy to hear the front is fairly easy.

That trike is sweat! I bet it screams with that cr80 engine! If I was your son, I would think "I have the coolest dad!" He's going to love that thing! Great idea and nice build!

Sorry I wasn't keeping up on this thread. I fixed the rake, and we took it out a couple times last year. Here is a picture from Mosh at Sand Mountain trike meet.

I remember when I was a kid my best friends Dad bought him a KX100 that had been converted into a trike, I remember it was way too fast for us to ride we were like 5 or 6 yrs old!
