Ok so i was out riding the x today and it has started acting up. Here is exactly whats happening, i think its the coil, but you guys tell me.

Start the bike and ride a little, starts good and runs good right off the bat.

Get down the road a ways and get the bike good and warm and it starts to miss. The miss will eventually get bad enough it will kill the engine and leave me sitting there.

Now two options, wait on the engine to cool down and the bike will start right back up, or get push started and get bike running again, but still missing.

What do you guys think. Makes me think the coil is getting hot, but im not an atv or motorcycle guy, so i thought i would ask you pros first.

On a good note i think i have my clutch problem figured out.

Thanks in advance guys. Really enjoying this little 200, its a beast for a little 4 stroke!!

not sure, sounds like it may be a fuel problem? Are there in line filters on fuel line? If so, change them and clean carb.I had a 185s that would run until dirt and sediment blocked fuel flow and it would quit. It would start again after a while and dot it again and again...... As far as the electrical side of things, not real sure but you will surely get the answer here, lot's of helpful experience. Good luck.

Sounds like a glooged gas cap vent or petcock/carb

well i installed new fuel lines and filter, i could clean the petcock though. Do i just unscrew it out of the tank?

here's a good way to see if its a fuel problem, ride it until it dies then unscrew the screw at the bottom of the carb.if no fuel comes out then its a stuck float.sound like to me its a fuel problem, have you tried putting it on ckoke when it starts cutting out

no i havnt choked it, it feels to me like it is losing spark. I will try the choke tomorrow and see if it helps. For some reason it i think its spark. You can still hear the difference when giving it throttle when it is dieing.
