New to the forum and just picked it up and wanted to find a good source for parts in Michigan. Its in fairly good condition compared to what we've been seeing. Looks like I might need a rear axle. It has a slight bend in it causing a slight wobble in the right rear wheel.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

Welcome!

The axle from a YTM-200E shaft will interchange and it is stronger. Axle when you'll replace the axle check the condition of the bearing.

Just did a search on an on line parts source and they wanted over $700 new for the 225 one! Wow... Either it will stay this way or i'll have to find a used one at a salvage yard.

Welcome. Are you sure it the axle? Check the RR hub and rim.

Post a WTB in the classifieds here for that axle, someone is bound to have one way cheaper.

We had the rim and hub off and spun the other wheel and we could see it was bent a little toward the end (wheel end). Neighbor has a press and was willing to rework with the press and torch to make it better, but doesnt think he can completely get it straight. Would have pulled it, but thought I'd better get a manual first (just in case). Good idea to post to the WTB.

Thanks

Thanks for the link! This will come in very handy. Removal of the rear axle doesnt appear to be a big a job as I first thought.

Shhh, don't say that too loud, you'll jinx yourself. Bearings have a way of fusing themselves to the axle.
