Thinking Of Selling The Tecate

Well guys sad times these are. I have had my Tecate for almost 7 years. Spent way too much on it. Im 27 living home with no license. Just sold my 1982 atc 250r for 1100 after loosing my job. I have no idea what it is honestly worth. I have almost 3 1st gen tecates. One 84 and 2 85s. Needed to make 1 bike out of three. You guys know how it is. Anyway. I have bought almost every tecate In my province and a few local ones too. For a tecate this is super rare around here. People think I made it from scratch and never knew Kawasaki Made a racing three wheeler. Here is what I have for my mobile Tecate.

there are tons of ATV tires that are in the 300's here in canada, alot of sets run about 1099 before tax. and some go to 1499 before tax......

The whole lot? or just the running bike? I have so much invested I have no clue what it is even worth. The tires I am talking about have run flat technology made by good year. Retail in motovan and a few other places for 340.

Partner, that is your baby first and foremost! We dont sell the kids off in hard times do we? NO!! And ask yourself this! If you sell this nowand the economy picks back up in a couple months, will you hate yourself for selling it?? And how easy will it be for you to rebuild one or even find another one?? My wife and i have made an agreement, no matter how crappy it gets, the toys are ours! look at it like this, if you are out of work, that seems like a really good excuse to go riding!! LOL If you get real hard up for money, pawn em to someone who will sell em back to ya!! GOOD LUCK BUD!!

Its really not the economy or lack of a job. I have a job now. It is the lack of a drivers liscense and still living home. Im 27 and need to get the hell out. Believe me This is the last thing I want to do. But I have my 1983 kx 250 and like I said earlier I have 2 other tecate frames.

Will selling it really gain you anything? I mean you will get some money for it but even if you got $1000 it's not enough to move out on your own or take the place of a job.

How did you lose your license? I guess if you had fines or something and paying them would get your license back then I would say yeah sell it.

Its dirty in most pics. The tecate 4 is no longer mine. And good luck finding another one in Canada. I have had a few high offers for it in the past. And that was befor it had the mods it does now. My bike is no garage queen. So many people come over to see what the hell that thing is. Almost 3 bikes in total. I am assembling the green machine today. How much is a +2 franks swing arm, 2 mitchel 8 inch rims and that extended axel worth?

You are right about the value of yours parts, but i consider more valuable a original trike. I am not in an hurry to find one, but if i do find one, i know i gonna need big $$$$$ to buy it, no problem.
I should go to the US to find a 86 tecate. they do look better.
Anyone have a 86 tecate for sale ????????

I thought of that myself. There was a 86 tecate sold in New Brunswick. Of all the bikes to slip by me.
