any 1 happen to know the exact valve clearance for a 185s 1982, rocker arm to valve, shadix said 0.02mm, that seems a bit small to me, as i see more engines having them at about 0.08 and such. just want to be sure so i dont bend a valve.

FYI you might have to find a feeler guage set special for small engines. Lots of times automotive sets don't go down that small.

Make sure there COLD....

The problem with valves, is most guys change that .002 when they tighten the locknut anyhow. You have to get a feel for them and almost set them looser so it ends up being .002 when all is set and tight.

Play with it, you'll get it......

If you still have valve noise, it's most likely the cam chain and the guide/tensioner.

I set mine at .003. I would rather have a little noise than burn a valve.
