I'm not sure if they are the same engine casing or not. I don't have a ytm 200 to compare it too.

Depending on you raccess to machining tools, A starter might be easier than a kick start.

Here's a thread on that.

i have a BW200 motor, the new one that is electric start only, it does not bolt in. The case is a little different and hits the frame at the back right side of the motor. I'm not sure if you would be able to dent the frame enough to get it to fit or if the frame needs to be cut, that is my project when I have some time (fall?).

YTM's are pretty cheap. Why go through all that when you can just buy one that already has electric start?

^I agree with LTZ. Look for a YTM225, (if your inclined to stay with a YTM), they come with electric start and rear suspension.

I would agree with keeping the ytm with a pull starter, but if you really wanted an xt225 dual purpose bikes' motor seems like an easy fit giving you can weld some motor mounts. Also its a 6 speed clutch.

Earlier, I tried to set my XT200 engine in a YTM200 frame, same problem. (Could be the same engine as a BW200, for all I know).
