I've been storing 3 wheelers since January like a mad man! I bought one and it needed restoring and I kept looking for them. I done two 350x's and all Tri-Z's. I just got a 85 ATC 250R over the weekend that needs some TLC! I'm building an engine for a forth Tri-z which is going to yellow. CosmicQuads has done 3 seats for me.

Before and after. This 86 350x was one of the first restore projects that I did in Feb-March of 2009. I found this on Craigslist about one hour north of my house. It was in Florida for fourteen years and then sold to the brother-in-law and it sat out side in the weather for six long years. The dude must have been crazy to do that, but his lost my gain, haha! Cosmetically the 350x looked like crap, but mechanically it is perfect! It still has the OEM chain and sprockets, 90% Ohtsu front tire, stock exhaust, skid plates, tool box, parking brake, helmet holder, and front brake metal guide. I had the tank repainted at my friends body shop, the frame just needed touching up. New plastics with reproduction stickers, a CosmicQuad seat cover to like it rolled out of the show room. New 501 Ohtsu on the rear for that Honda look , man it handles so much better with the 501's on it! The handle bar are originally with stock Honda grips. I put new seals in the front forks and changed the oil, the rear shock was rebuilt by Total Control Suspension in N.C. I put new front wheel bearings and greased all the others and got it all good. I put in a new air filter and engine oil running Honda GN4 10/40. I got everything back together and it turned out great. This was way easier restoring something running then by parts in a milk crate like I ended up doing on the next three projects called a TRI-Z!

Yeah you were right. I am drooling over that sectional pipe on the 85Z!
Nice work man.
By the looks of the scattered Z parts, I think we may have a new "Tri-Z guy" on the boards here.

Hey thanks again for the complaints all you wrote in. It is a labor of love. We all know how many hours of hard work it takes to restore these machines. Man its fun! Hey I was told that pipe is a Bassina and someone and a friend ask if it is a DynaPort. It looks trick! There is the same pipe on ebay that looks the same. Here is another shot of it. Well this guy in NC use to race Tri-Z's back in the day and had all these Z's and race parts and brand new parts never used because he would take them off when he buys them and put his race parts on. Well he put all the parts on Craigslist as parts but it was enough to build two 3wheelers and a lot of extra parts so I ebayed the crap to get my investment back and fund the projects. It came with three frames and two engines.I still had to buy alot of parts from ebay and my local dealer which is Brewer Cycles. I just went to PA over the weekend and picked up a Tri-Z in boxes and milk crates with a complete engine and lower unit that I'm getting ready to put in a frame that I had powder coated. So I will have 4 Tri-Z's, maybe one to sell.

Have you ever thought about restoring an 85 Kawaski Tecate?

That is funny you asked because a friend is going to visiting soon and his uncle has a 85 tecate like 30 mins from my house and it runs with only ten hours on it! I'm going to look at it when he comes into town.
